He was born on 13th February in the year 1971. His professional ice hockey career in National Hockey League started with the Quebec Nordiques team. He played for this particular hockey team for the next four seasons.
After that in the year 1994, he came to Toronto Maple Leafs. In this particular he played more than half of his ice hockey career. He captained this team for 11 seasons consecutively.
